Exhibition Guide for Scotland Can Make It! exhibition of prototypes at the People's Palace, 2012
Scotland Can Make It! is a collection of six limited edition souvenirs, designed and manufactured entirely in Scotland. Commissioned by Panel for the Glasgow XX Commonwealth Games, the souvenirs were created by leading Scottish designers and artists in close collaboration with producers, fabricators and developers across Scotland.
In September 2012 the project provided the focus of a public programme, anchored within Glasgow’s east end. Temporarily included within the permanent collection of The People’s Palace, the Scotland Can Make It! exhibition documented the development of the designs, drawing attention to the key processes and relationships that led to their realisation.
