News / MAKE Learn launches
MAKE and Craft Scotland have launched MAKE Learn – a Research Report, Key Findings and Recommendations – alongside a set of resources, developed with makers, for schools.

MAKE Learn
MAKE Learn is a partnership between MAKE (guided by Panel) and Craft Scotland.
MAKE Learn’s ambition is for a 'quality craft and making education for everyone in Scotland'.
In 2020, MAKE Learn commissioned Rosemary James-Beith, led by Craft Scotland, to review the provision and development of craft education within Scotland’s primary and secondary schools and beyond.
The findings and recommendations show how best to support the development of the craft education sector for the benefit of all, create high-quality craft and making opportunities for all and support young people to reach their full potential within craft.
Alongside the research project, a Pilot Schools Project focused on the value of craft education within and beyond the school setting. This project was hosted in early 2021, led by MAKE with maker Soizig Carey.
